Everyone I Have Ever Rented A Place To Call Home From 1986 – 2025
For 'Everyone I Have Ever Rented A Place To Call Home From 1986 – 2025', I took inspiration from Tracy Emin’s iconic work 'Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963-1995'. In my reimagining of this work, descriptions or names of every landlord I have ever rented a room or apartment from cover the inside of a house-shaped tent, and the fragments of domestic debris clustered inside it. Through this work, I want to reflect on decades of precarious dwellings, and the wider implications of the relationship between tenant and landlord - it’s (lack of) intimacy and imbalance of power.
